Apple teams up with Skyhook Technologies

I just read a press release that Apple is using Skyhook Wireless Technology for the Mapping widget found on both the iPhone and iPod touch. This sounds exciting and Im going to need to take a trip to my local Apple store and see if a demo is available. I wonder if this widget will have a monthly or one-time extra charge when its being used or its just a cool free extra. In any case, Skyhook has built a database of over 23 million Wi-Fi access points so it has plenty of range to provide iPhone and iPod users some great LBS services.
